Resita/Romania – The cities of Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara are magnets for young talent from all over Romania thanks to their good educational opportunities.
Companies far from these metropolitan areas, on the other hand, are increasingly suffering from the rural exodus. Resita, the home town of our subsidiary Spaleck S.R.L., is also experiencing this trend despite its nationwide reputation in the mechanical engineering sector. The reason for the exodus is simple: highly qualified training increases job opportunities.
To counteract this, the first private vocational school has now been founded in Resita on the initiative and with the kind support of Spaleck Resita and Bocholt. For the first time, this offers young people from the region the opportunity to complete a dual apprenticeship or practical elements of their studies.
Andreas Ahler, Managing Director of SPALECK GmbH & Co. KG: “As a fifth-generation Family-owned business, we know from experience that good training for our own employees is the best investment a company can make in its future. That’s why we were immediately enthusiastic when Leonard Leinstein, the Managing Director of our Romanian subsidiary, helped launch the project.”
Very important: “The promotion of young talent should not only benefit the four founding companies,” emphasizes Leonard Leinstein. “Rather, the new talent factory helps our entire region and the many companies to further develop as a business location and attractive employer.”
