The crowd was huge. More than 1,000 girls and boys visited the 17th Bocholt Trainee Fair at Volksbank Bocholt at the weekend.
Spaleck also took the opportunity to provide information about training and future opportunities within the Spaleck Group.
“Apprenticeship fairs are a great platform for both young people and companies,” says Guido Beckmann, Production Manager at Spaleck. “As well as getting answers to questions about training, it’s getting to know each other personally that counts. This gives the boys and girls a good starting point for their application,” laughs Beckmann and adds: “If we were also able to convince them and win them over.”
In addition to Guido Beckmann, two of our trainees, Philipp Schmitz (construction mechanic) and Florian Schmitz (cutting machine operator), were also on hand to answer visitors’ questions.
What does an apprentice’s day at Spaleck look like? What are their tasks? And how do you personally like it at Spaleck? Philipp Schmitz: “The boys and girls were very well prepared on Saturday and really interested. Some even had their applications with them.”
“People often ask if we also offer internships for school students? My answer: Of course! As Machining, Construction and Industrial Mechanics. For boys and girls!” says Florian Schmitz with a broad smile. After all, a student internship was also his introduction to the Spaleck team.
