A new CNC machining center was recently installed at our site in Greiz, Thuringia. The machine is the second step in an expansion investment totaling EUR 1 million. This is associated with the creation of two new jobs.
The machine—measuring approximately 11 by 3 by 2.8 meters and weighing 26 metric tons—is used for the mechanical machining of precision parts. Specifically, it manufactures highly complex machine parts and components from raw metal blocks, which SPALECK produces as a subcontractor for third parties. It can be used to produce parts with a diameter of up to 750 mm and a length of 5,050 mm with an accuracy of 0.01 mm.
Sebastian Bettermann, Plant Manager at SPALECK Präzisionstechnik: “Greiz is an important location for us to be able to optimally supply customers of the SPALECK Group from Thuringia and Saxony with mechanically machined parts. We are consistently investing in the future viability and expansion of our services here at the site.”
