On Thursday, our employees Gabi Mumbeck and Michael Wolf handed over two checks totaling 2,500 euros.
On the one hand, Monika Ludwig from Kreisimkerverein Borken e.V. was delighted to receive 1,000 euros. SPALECK is using the money to support youth education and regional environmental protection. Monika Ludwig: “In the coming year, we will be visiting kindergartens and schools again to raise awareness of environmental protection and nature conservation, for example with father-child activities.”
In addition, a cheque for 1,500 euros went to the Burlo-based aid project “We for India”. Its initiator, Christian Reisener, has been working to expand schools and create better living and educational opportunities for Indian children since 2017. Reisener: “With donations like these, we can provide very tangible help on the ground in India. For example, by building a well, buying school equipment, but also, for example, mattresses for children in boarding schools who have been sleeping on the floor.”
Gabi Mumbeck and Michael Wolf: “Our team is delighted that the donations will benefit projects that improve the educational opportunities of young people and support species and nature conservation.”
