“Simply great!” says Gabi Mumbeck, employee and co-organizer of today’s second blood donation day at SPALECK.
Previously, 87 of the 230 or so employees had registered to donate “at work”. After a brief medical check to clarify any colds or other impediments, 57 people, including 23 first-time donors, were allowed to give blood.
Very good reasons for the DRK blood donation service from Münster to come with a special blood donation bus. Gabi Mumbeck: “The donation with the DRK was well organized. The registration, the preliminary talk and the breakfast later took place in our SPALECK-owned health center and the donation took place in the bus.”
The fundraising campaign was initiated by the Spaleck Health Circle. Employees from various areas of the company are involved in this group and develop and organize campaigns for the entire workforce to improve employee health.
Gabi Mumbeck, member of the health circle: “We are delighted with the repeated willingness to donate. A big thank you to the team. We would also like to thank the DRK for the opportunity to donate directly at our company and, of course, the Bocholt DRK association for the very hearty catering.” After the donation, all participants were able to resume their work feeling refreshed. Michael Wiesmann (photo), one of the most experienced donors with his 58th donation today: “A great campaign and, thanks to the donation during working hours, a very easy start for our first-time donors.”
