What do technical product designers do?

Here's what your work in product development will look like

As a future technical product designer, you will design and engineer components, complex assemblies, and complete systems. Using modern CAD systems, you’ll create detailed models and use them to generate precise manufacturing drawings and bills of materials. In addition, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the technical documentation, which serves as an important foundation for our global production.

Training Content

During your apprenticeship as a Technical Product Designer at SPALECK in Bocholt, you’ll start by learning the basics of drafting and design. Step by step, you’ll learn how to design complex components and assemblies in 3D models and maintain precise bills of materials. You will be responsible for design changes, set standards for our components, and actively participate in exciting new developments even while you are still in training.
