Optimizing Recycling Processes

Recycling Technology Test Center

At the SPALECK TestCenter, companies and equipment manufacturers from the international recycling industry test their materials and processes under real-world industrial conditions. This is where the basis for decisions regarding both new recycling facilities and the optimization of existing ones is established.

We think in terms of recycling processes

BEST SCREENING. BEST INFEED. FOR THE BEST SORTING QUALITY.

Thanks to our experience from thousands of recycling projects, we know that effective screening and a reliable material feed are crucial to the entire recycling process. That’s why we live by the philosophy “BEST SCREENING.” BEST INFEED. “FOR THE BEST SORTING QUALITY.”
Our goal is to work with you to develop the best solution for your recycling project. To this end, we are committed to a partnership-based, trusting, and long-term collaboration with you.

Here's How Your Sieve Test Works at the SPALECK TestCenter

From Screening Tests to the Optimal Plant Solution

With the SPALECK TestCenter, you’ll not only know that it works—but also how well it performs in real-world plant operations.

Review of the sieving results following a sieving test at the SPALECK TestCenter

You describe your material, your target dimensions, and the design constraints of your system. Together, we will determine which fractions should be produced and what the requirements are for the subsequent process steps.

Our application engineering team analyzes your material and defines the test setup: Which machines will be used, which variants will be tested, and how can the material be best prepared for further processing.

At the TestCenter, we test your material under real-world conditions. We work with you to test various settings and configurations—with the clear goal of achieving the optimal screen sizes and the best possible preparation for downstream processes.

Right after that, we’ll analyze the results together. The focus is on screening results, screening cuts, material quality, and the impact on sorting technology. You will also receive comprehensive documentation of all test results.

Based on the results, we will develop a specific solution for your application. The selection and configuration of screening technology is based on real test data, is technically sound, and provides economic benefits for your processing operations.

Here are some questions about your work at SPALECK. If you have any questions, just send us a message.

Yes, in the SPALECK TestCenter you receive a comprehensive evaluation and documentation of the test results for each test, including

– the specific measurement results and documentation of each test run
– process observations by SPALECK experts
– specific recommendations and optimization tips for Machine configuration and process design
– extensive text, photo and video documentation for each series of tests
– the prepared material for further use

Of course, the SPALECK experts are also available to provide you with advice and support after the tests!

Yes, the SPALECK TestCenter can be used by international customers. Tests and process optimizations are regularly carried out together with customers and interested parties from all over the world. The tests, documentation and consultations are carried out in several languages.

Yes, tests to optimize existing recycling applications and processes are carried out very regularly at the SPALECK TestCenter.

Many customers and interested parties use the SPALECK TestCenter to validate and continuously improve their existing Recycling processes and systems.

Typical examples are:

– Changes in input materials

– New or higher quality requirements

– Optimization of material purities

– Problems with fluctuating sorting performance of downstream sorting technology

After the material tests in the SPALECK TestCenter, the prepared material is of course available to you for further tests and for further preparation.

The material screened and classified by size in the SPALECK TestCenter is often then further processed in other test centers (e.g. by sorting equipment manufacturers) or directly in the recycling company.

We also sometimes receive already processed material from our customers in order to optimize it for subsequent sorting. One example of this is aluminum fractions from metal recycling, which are then sent for XRF or, for example, LIBS aluminum processing.

The details of what is to be done with your material will of course be closely coordinated with you.

It goes without saying that all company information, material data, test results and process information are treated as strictly confidential. SPALECK conducts tests exclusively in the interest of the respective customer.

Yes, the material is optimally prepared for subsequent sorting steps in the SPALECK TestCenter.

SPALECK pursues its philosophy of “BEST INFEED & BEST SCREENING FOR BEST SORTING”.

In the SPALECK TestCenter, the recycling material is optimally classified for further processing, e.g. using eddy current separators, XRF sorters, XRT sorters or LIBS sorting plants.
