The official start of our employees’ 150th year at the company was literally a big event. anniversary year of our company. Under the motto “We undertake the future.” our employees met at the Bocholter Kinodrom. The owner family Spaleck had invited the guests. The program included getting in the mood for the year ahead with numerous employee and customer events. Afterwards, all employees enthusiastically watched the German comedy “Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht” in the Kinodrom’s large auditorium 1.
Marlies Spaleck: “150 years of company history is something very special. We undertake the future – our anniversary motto – reflects the way our employees have thought and acted for 5 generations. With foresight, courage, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, the founding father Otto Spaleck developed a mechanical engineering factory from a simple locksmith’s workshop in 1869 and served the rapidly growing textile industry. In the course of the company’s long history, it has often had to overcome the most adverse circumstances: Two world wars, the flight from the Thuringian town of Greiz to Bocholt in 1949, as well as economic turning points in the textile sector. Today, you are the employees who help shape the company. My family and I are extremely grateful for the great team we form with you.”
Today, SPALECK is a globally sought-after “green machine builder”. The screening machines made in Bocholt help to process recyclable materials from waste internationally. SPALECK is also a supplier of welded assemblies and precision parts for the agricultural, food and rail industries, among others.
After the joint movie, there was another particularly atmospheric moment. The official tapping of the keg took place in the cinema’s Spencer’s Bistro with the SPALECK anniversary beer brewed especially at the founding location of Greiz. Afterwards, our team had the opportunity to exchange ideas across departments. Further information on the anniversary year can be found at www.spaleck150.de.
